Bognor Regis might be a small seaside town, but it has plenty to fill a weekend. Whether you're a local looking for something new or a visitor exploring for the first time, here are five good places to start.
1. Walk the Promenade
The Bognor Regis promenade runs along the seafront with views out over the English Channel. Start at the pier and head west towards Aldwick, or east towards Felpham.
2. Visit Hotham Park
Hotham Park is home to a miniature railway, a boating lake, an 18-hole putting green, crazy golf and Hotham Park Cafe. The miniature railway runs at weekends, school holidays and bank holidays, so check times before you go.
3. Explore the Pier
Bognor Pier opened in 1865. Grab an ice cream and take a stroll along it for views back along the coast.
4. Check What's On at the Alexandra Arts Centre
The seafront venue many locals still call the Regis Centre (home of the Alexandra Theatre) has been renamed the Alexandra Arts Centre by Arun District Council, with plans for theatre, live music, comedy, film and workshops. Check Arun District Council's website for the current programme.
5. Visit Butlin's
Butlin's Bognor Regis opened on 2 July 1960. Day passes are sold on selected dates and include Splash Waterworld; check the Butlin's website for dates and prices.
